Business Continuity and Crisis Exercises

The client was seeking to address any security threat during the Games and also to protect its business brand and manage any media arising from its response in the event of a crisis.

Beltin delivered a tabletop exercise that included a number of remote live sites. This form of exercise was an economical testing technique for this client, providing flexible formats and effective outcomes. Staff experienced a non-threatening, relaxed environment which encouraged them to discuss problems openly. They were given opportunities to make decisions, be creative and use their own problem-solving techniques.

Many clients find these exercises useful, because they:

  • Test and evaluate existing plans, policies and procedures
  • Reveal any weaknesses and identify any resource gaps
  • Improve individual performance, organisational communication and coordination
  • Train people and clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Satisfy regulatory requirements
